On point and thoughtful writing, as per, Matteo! And we need more lists like the one you added at the end! Seems like everyone and their mother is curating digests and round-ups on Substack nowadays, so we may need curation for the curators themselves 🗂️🗂️🗂️

Interesting take and appreciative of it. I do feel like curation is becoming a national responsibility with all this AI slop out there. I wonder how much is human filtration as a litmus test for what the computer believes should be popular or interesting. Maybe there’s a point where the AI can filter the AI slop and we end up where we started. Nevertheless, I’m glad the algorithm didn’t filter out this.

Thank you!! I agree that with the rapid advancement of AI, technology will try (or is already trying) to take on aspects of curation as well. However, I want to believe there’s still a deeply human element to effective curation, strongly rooted in personal experience, intuition, and emotion - qualities that are difficult for a machine to truly replicate.

So excited! As a curator I’m so excited to see this highlighted and celebrated. There is so much value in the reflection and context curators utilize to shape their tastes and perspectives.

Yes!! I think especially in today’s content-flooded world, curators’ ability to both filter and add context is essential.

I would recommend everyone check out Hannah Louise Poston on Youtube. Her channel has changed my life and the way I see clothes/style. Her whole page is about curation. She is way ahead of her time!

Yes, I just wrote about this idea of curation creating "taste worlds" and I found it really interesting to think about the traditional differences in upper / lower class values being upended by the CREATIVE class – looking towards history and contradicting tradition. Loved reading this!

I have this feeling of overwhelming because of all the "infomation" and content that has been thrown out, and as a multihyphanate is too much! You just plant the seeds for an internal conversation of what I want to do now. Thank you

Such an interesting perspective - curation really is becoming just as valuable as creation itself. Love hearing how others are thinking about this shift.

Thank you Midheta. Yeah so interesting to see how many different shapes curation can take (just like creation), and still be impactful.

I loved this. The future belongs to people with taste. It doesn't feel that way in every moment right now but it's still true. Thank you this.
